About this speaker

Sherry Pincus’s passion for photography and backpacking has led to over 35 years of backcountry adventures with her camera. Places she has explored include the Canadian Rockies, the Pacific Northwest, the Grand Tetons, New Zealand, the French and Italian Alps and Patagonia.

Sherry has shared her work through presentations at the B&H Event Space, Develop Photo Week at Soho Photo Gallery, and Sierra Photo NYC. In 2019, Sherry teamed with National Parks at Night to offer a backpacking and night photography workshop in Olympic National Park. She is also a certified Wilderness First Responder and offers her own backpacking photography workshops.

Sherry’s mission is to help photographers develop wilderness skills with the hope that as more people come to know the magnificence of the backcountry, more people will seek to protect it.

When not on the trail, Sherry raised two backpacking, nature-loving children, while running her own catering business.
